Description
6000CDT
The 6000CDT is a dedicated CD transport incorporating the same slot-loading mechanism as audiolab’s flagship CD player, the 8300CD. Extremely robust and reliable, it uses a read-ahead digital buffer to reduce disc-reading failures, able to play scratched and damaged CDs that are unreadable by conventional mechanisms.

I’m posting this after having my new 6000CDT up and running for only two weeks, so I can’t address reliability. But it’s built like a tank (12 lbs.), and it’s doubtful that users will have a problem in the first 10 yrs. or more. It’s performing flawlessly for me thus far, but to get the best sense of it’s potential, read the following review:

I’m running the 6000CDT into a Schiit Audio Gungnir Multibit DAC, which feeds a pair of Adam Audio A5X powered speakers in a desktop application. For what I paid for this system it sounds stunningly good! Just spectacular. You can’t go wrong with this transport…highly recommended.
