Michell turntable drive belts are made of a proprietary rubber compound,
designed to keep your vinyl revolving at precisely the correct speed, while
also minimizing any vibration transfer from the motor to the turntable. The
drive belts are first made using ultra-precise injection molds, they are then
cryogenically treated to remove any flash from the molding process and finally
each belt is precision ground on a Michell designed belt grinding machine. This
ensures each belt has a smooth grippy surface and that the section of the belt
is consistent all the way around the belt, this is essential to keep wow and
flutter to an absolute minimum.
