The slim sound bar, wrapped in a high-rigidity metal enclosure and supported by vibration-dampening feet, delivers both elegance and acoustic precision. The wireless subwoofer adds deep bass with flexible placement anywhere in your room.

Our challenge: to deliver extraordinary sound from a slim bar. Our secret: newly developed, custom eye-shaped speaker drivers. By optimizing the shape, structure and magnetic circuitry of the primary front drivers, we greatly improved cone strength and high-frequency clarity. The result — clear, lifelike sound without acoustic interference, from a sleek form factor that perfectly complements your TV and décor.

SOUND BEAM TECHNOLOGY, REDEFINED

Over twenty years ago, we re-invented home theater with the YSP-1 sound bar and we’ve been refining its unique sound beam technology ever since. In this latest model, we employed a Yamaha YDA-141 high-performance amplifier with twelve (six per side) ultra-precise DSP-controlled beam speakers to produce phenomenal height channel effects. With realistic Dolby Atmos® playback, the Bar 90A delivers an amazing sound field that surpasses conventional sound bars.

FEEL THE DEPTH, HEAR THE POWER

The subwoofer of this system employs Symmetrical Flare Port® technology, newly developed through meticulous Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) measurements—delivering powerful, deeply resonant bass. The symmetrical horizontal/vertical port structure ensures extremely smooth release of the strong air flow generated during bass reproduction. As a result, port noise has been reduced by 20 dB compared to conventional models, enabling pure bass reproduction that is both powerful and deep.

INTELLIGENT OPTIMIZATION

SURROUND:AI™ analyzes content in real time to optimize every element of every scene — dialogue, music, ambient sounds and effects. It’s like having a Yamaha sound engineer fine-tuning the sound just for you. This exclusive Yamaha technology is powered by a Qualcomm® QCS407 64-bit SoC, the same ultra-powerful processor used in our flagship AVENTAGE AV receivers.

The app lets you browse, play, and control audio across MusicCast-compatible devices with ease.

AURO-3D® IMMERSIVE AUDIO

As the world’s first AURO-3D sound bar, the Bar 90A takes full advantage of the height-channel sound beams to create a sense of realism as if you were experiencing a live performance in person. In addition, with great effect thanks to the AURO-3D Auro-Matic function, stereo content is up-mixed into an exceptional three-dimensional sound field.

OPTIONAL WIRELESS SURROUNDS*

The Bar 90A can be expanded using True X speakers, such as the True X Speaker 3A. Unlike most wireless surround speakers, these are truly portable — they can operate on wired power or from their built-in rechargeable batteries — and they can switch from Surround to Solo mode at the touch of a button, so you can take one with you to another room or on the road as a standalone Bluetooth® speaker.

CLEAR VOICE & BASS EXTENSION

The unique Clear Voice feature makes it easier to hear and understand dialogue and vocals. Bass Extension adds body and depth to the bass while keeping the mids and highs clean, making movies even more impactful.

EASY CONNECTIVITY

Compatible with eARC and CEC, the system can be connected to the TV with a single HDMI cable, while power on/off and volume can be controlled with your TV remote.

WALL MOUNTABLE

Simply remove the legs from the bar, and it can be wall-mounted using the included metal brackets. Just 3-inches tall without the feet, its slim design perfectly complements your TV.
