Enjoy thrilling surround sound with the Marantz SR6009 networked A/V receiver which features built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi that lets you stream your favorite tracks wirelessly from your favorite portable devices, as well as letting you choose from thousands of internet radio stations. You can also stream your favorite tracks from subscription streaming services including Pandora®, SiriusXM™ and Spotify Connect® (not all services available in all markets).
Prepared for the future, the SR6009 features an advanced video section with 8 HDMI inputs including 1 conveniently located on the front panel and dual HDMI outputs, and it’s equipped with 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz video pass-through and upscaling. It’s also compatible with Pure Color 4:4:4 color sub-sampling, another feature of the latest HDMI specification. The ISF certified video section also features ISFccc advanced video calibration controls.
The audio section features the latest high-resolution audio decoders including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. There’s also DTS Neo:X advanced multichannel decoding, along with Dolby Pro Logic IIz and Audyssey DSX.
Equipped with Audyssey’s renowned Gold suite of advanced DSP audio algorithms, the SR6009 features MultEQ XT automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system which provides superior digital correction compared to standard MultEQ and the ability to measure up to 8 different locations in the room. Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey Dynamic Volume are also included, along with Dynamic Surround Expansion for the ultimate home theater audio experience.

There are dual HDMI outputs, so you can send different content to two televisions.
Along with 4K Ultra HD full 60 Hz frame-rate pass-through and upscaling. The SR6009 also features Pure Color 4:4:4 color sub-sampling pass-through, another feature of the latest HDMI specification.

Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), the SR6009 includes the full suite of advanced ISFccc video calibration controls that allows a video calibration technician to optimize picture quality with any TV or projector.
Built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and AirPlay®, DLNA®
Wirelessly stream your favorite tracks via the built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless technologies. Bluetooth features automatic power on and pairing, and up to 8 devices can be remembered. The SR6009 features dual antennas for superior Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transmission and reception coverage compared to a single antenna.
The SR6009 is also equipped with Apple® AirPlay, which lets you stream content from your iPod touch®, iPad® and iPhone®, and DLNA compatibility lets you access content from your PC or Mac via your home network.

New Tablet Apps
In addition to the available smart device apps, we’ve created a new Marantz Remote app specifically for tablet devices, and it’s available for iPads, Android tablets as well as the Kindle Fire™.
Convenient USB Port
On the front panel, there’s a convenient USB port that lets you stream tunes from your iPod®, iPod touch, or iPad and charge it at the same time. You can also listen to your favorite MP3 and WMA tracks on USB and NAS devices.
Powerful 7 Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode
Audyssey Gold Built-inThe SR6009 features a sophisticated power amplifier section with all 7 high current amp channels configured identically. Each channel is rated at 110 watts (8 ohms, 20 Hz~20 kHz, .08%THD), and all channels are rated to drive lower impedance 4 ohm speakers. The advanced Eco amplifier mode adjusts power consumption according to signal level, and there’s an on-screen Eco Mode display that lets you see the power consumption reduction in real time.
Equipped with the latest Audyssey Gold suite of DSP technologies, the SR6009 features Audyssey MultEQ XT automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system that provides higher precision digital filters for the satellite and subwoofers compared to the base MultEQ system, and it also allows for measurement at up to 8 locations in the room.
Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out annoying jumps in volume (such as TV commercials), letting you listen at lower volume levels and still enjoy clear dialog and sound effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides precision tonal balancing for full range clarity at any listening level.
Audyssey Dynamic Surround Expansion dramatically broadens the front soundstage via front height or front wide speakers for the ultimate listening experience, and the SR6009 is also Audyssey Pro Installer compatible, for superior in-room acoustic measurement and correction capabilities.
Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Pro Logic IIz, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS Neo:X, Audyssey DSX
The audio section features a broad range of decoders, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio lossless decoders, along with additional advanced DSP processors that provide options for an expanded surround sound experience:
- Dolby Pro Logic IIz derives front height channels, and the SR6009 provides the option of powered front height speakers or with an external power amplifier via the preamp outputs.
- DTS Neo:X derives front height or front wide channels, with the option of internally or externally powered speakers.
- Audyssey DSX derives front height or front wide channels, with the option of internally or externally powered speakers.
Advanced HDAM Discrete Buffer Amplifier Modules
The SR6009 features our latest HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) components, which consist of matched precision discrete selected circuit elements on a compact sub-board, instead of conventional op-amp integrated circuits. These advanced HDAM modules provide a full 10 dB of signal-to-noise improvement over earlier HDAM versions, along with ultra wide-band response (100 kHz, -3 dB) for crystal clear treble detail.
Dual Subwoofer Outputs
With a single subwoofer setup, room acoustics and the subwoofer’s location may not deliver optimum deep bass response. Instead, because of room resonances, deep bass quality may be uneven due to room interaction. The SR6009 is equipped with dual subwoofer outputs so you can connect two subs and place them in different parts of the room, to enjoy smoother and more accurate deep bass response.
Color Coded 4-Way Speaker Terminals
The high quality speaker terminals feature multi-way connectors to handle various types of cable terminations, and they’re all color coded for correct hookup the very first time. Color coded speaker labels are also included to ensure quick and correct hookup with no hassle.
Easy To Use Quick Select Functions
There are 4 Quick Select function buttons on the front panel that let you choose your favorite sources quickly, and the SR6009 will remember your preferred sound settings for each source. There are also 4 Quick Select function buttons on the ergonomic remote control.
Multi-room Enjoyment
You can enjoy multi-room listening by hooking up a second pair of speakers to 2 of the amp channels and play a 5.1 channel surround source in the main room while others can enjoy a different source in another room. Dual HDMI outputs also let you 2 different video sources, 1 in the main room and another in the second room.
For even more multi-room options, there are stereo variable level second zone preamp outputs, for connection to a separate stereo power amp and speakers.
IR Input and Output; RS-232C Serial Port; 12 Volt Trigger
The SR6009 features IR (infrared) remote control input and output ports for compatibility with other components, along with an RS-232C serial port that lets you connect the SR6009 to an automated control system, such as Control4. The 12V trigger output lets you connect to an external remote controllable device such as a motorized drop down projection screen, motorized drapes, or other compatible component.
